Ottawa Senators’ Hero’s Ridge Program

The Royal Canadian Legion received a generous offer from the Ottawa Senators again this year to honor a military veteran and up to 9 guests at each of the 44 home games of the season. Lépine Apartments will host the military veteran and guests in a private suite and a formal announcement honoring their career will be made during the game.

Nominations

1- All submissions must first be supported by the branch. (Note All military veterans are eligible to be nominated – they do not have to be a Legion member)

2- The submission must be accompanied by the veteran’s military biography.

3- The biography is limited to one page using a minimum font of 11.

Interested military veterans are invited to submit their nominations (or nominate another veteran). Nominations must include:

1- Contact information for the veteran being nominated (phone and email)

2- Contact information of the individual submitting the nomination (phone and email)

3- A short bio which includes

– Years of service
– Trade/classification

– Postings/positions held, with dates

– Deployments if applicable, with dates

– Rank attained

– may include a brief description of the veteran’s activities since leaving the military.

Nominations should be forwarded to rcl632orleansawd@gmail.com or left in a sealed envelope addressed to Honours and Awards at the bar in the upper lounge at the Branch, 800 Taylor Creek Drive, Orleans.

The deadline for submissions to the Orleans Legion is August 31, 2023. If selected to attend a home game, military applicants will be contacted by the Zone G5 selection committee to discuss which game they wish to attend.
