Ottawa Senators’ Hero’s Ridge Program 2025-2026

The Royal Canadian Legion has once again received a generous offer to honor a military veteran and up to 9 guests at each of the home games of the season. Lépine Apartments will host the military veteran and guests in a private suite and a formal announcement honoring his/her career will be made during the game. District G has been tasked as the coordinator of this program.

Nominations

All submissions must first be supported by a Legion Branch. (Note: All military veterans are eligible to be nominated – they do not have to be a Legion member).

Interested military veterans are invited to submit their nominations (or nominate another veteran). Nominations must include:

1- Contact information for the veteran being nominated (first and last name, mailing address, email address and phone number).

2- Contact information of the individual submitting the nomination (first and last name, mailing address, email address and phone number).

3- A short bio (500 words or less) which includes:

– Years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces

– Rank attained

– Jersey size

– A photo

Nominations should be forwarded to rcl632orleansawd@gmail.com or left in a sealed envelope addressed to Honours and Awards at the bar in the upper lounge at the Branch, 800 Taylor Creek Drive, Orleans.

If selected, veterans will be contacted by the Zone G5 coordinator who will pass on further instructions.

Since there are more than 60 Branches in District G, nominations should be submitted in a timely manner.
