Branch Executive
The people behind the scenes at the Legion
Senior Executive
Branch President
Comrade Wyn Fournier - President
My father was with the infantry in WWII, and I am also a Canadian Armed Forces veteran. I was medically released in Aug 2016 with almost 33 years of service, including 4 years with the Reserve Force as a Cadet Instructor Cadre. I transferred to the Regular Force in Jan 1988, and was a Medic, Logistics Officer and Social Work Officer. I deployed overseas three times: Croatia 1994-95, Bosnia 1998, and Afghanistan 2007. My time in uniform was quite the adventure!
I’m married to a CAF Veteran and we have 2 young adult children, 20yo and 22yo. We have lived in Orleans since being posted here from Petawawa in June 2009.
I am working hard to learn how the Legion operates at a higher level, and will serve the Legion and our members to the very best of my ability.
I am interested in hearing what the members have to say and getting their ideas for how we can continue to improve. Please don’t hesitate to contact me through the President’s email if you have questions, ideas, comments, or concerns! I’m very quick to respond.

In 1995 I was transferred to the newly formed 31 Canadian Brigade Group as its first Brigade Sergeant Major. I component transferred to the Regular Army, The Royal Canadian Regiment at the rank of Captain in 1998.
I completed deployments to Bosnia (2001), and Lebanon, Syria & Israel (2006 & 2007). In Canada, I worked in the Directorate of Quality of Life (DQOL), and the Directorate of Protocol and Foreign Liaison (DPFL). I received the Nova Award for my efforts combining HRMS and ORICAL computer systems, and the CDS Commendation for my work in DPFL. I also received the USA Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
I have been volunteering in my communities since I was 15 years old, when I started an After Four Program for the local youth who had nothing to do until their parents came home. This later developed into the Beacon Hill Community Association After Four Program, where I was Head Counsellor. While in the GGFG I assisted the Korean Veterans Association as they became a National Association and assisted in bringing the Korean War Memorial to Ottawa. I also volunteered on the Winterlude Committee.
In 1980 I was one of the Founding members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 632 Orleans and later, after I retired from the Regular Force, became their 1st Vice President in 2018 followed by President 2019 to 2021. I also was the Remembrance Day parade commander for eight years. I served as the Coventry Rd DND United way Captain, I was President of The GGFG Association and I am currently on the Executive of the Ottawa Branch of the RCR Association.
I have been married to my wife Maria for 42 years. We have two daughters and five grandchildren.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I promise to do my best.
2nd Vice-President
Comrade Kevin Piccott - 2nd Vice President
I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, 6 October 1961 into a Military family. Following my Father’s footsteps, I began my Military life in Ottawa ON with 28 SVC BN in the Cadet Corps as a Supply Technician, and then progressed to the Reserves as an MSE Op, also with 28 SVC BN.
I decided to trade in my sleeping bag for clean sheets, so I transferred to the CAF as a Communications Systems Technician. Once I finished my training, I started out in Portage La Prairie, MB; followed by Baden Soellingen, Germany. In Germany I decided to apply to become an Air Traffic Controller. On graduation from that demanding course, I became a commissioned officer and headed to Trenton, ON, followed by Ottawa, ON.
I left my military uniform behind in 2005 to move to the civilian side to work at the Technical Systems Center with NAV CANADA. I joined the Legion in 2017.
