Past President
Comrade Wyn Fournier - Past President
My father was with the infantry in WWII, and I am also a Canadian Armed Forces veteran. I was medically released in Aug 2016 with almost 33 years of service, including 4 years with the Reserve Force as a Cadet Instructor Cadre. I transferred to the Regular Force in Jan 1988, and was a Medic, Logistics Officer and Social Work Officer. I deployed overseas three times: Croatia 1994-95, Bosnia 1998, and Afghanistan 2007. My time in uniform was quite the adventure!
I’m married to a CAF Veteran and we have 2 young adult children, who are in their 20s. We have lived in Orleans since being posted here from Petawawa in June 2009.
I will continue to serve the Legion to the best of my ability, and look forward to having a bit more time to relax.
I am interested in hearing what the members have to say and getting their ideas for how we can continue to improve. Please don’t hesitate to contact me through the Past President’s email if you have questions, ideas, comments, or concerns! I’m very quick to respond.

1st Vice-President
Comrade Cathy Stoddard
Raised and schooled in Kingston ON, Cathy studied nursing at St. Lawrence College. However, marriage and frequent military postings took her career in a different direction. Cathy established a professional life with the federal public service in various government departments such as National Defence, Foreign (now Global) Affairs, Public Health Agency of Canada, and Public Safety. In between public service positions, she was the Executive Assistant to the Ambassador of Japan to Canada for four years.
Her varied interests include a passion for volunteerism and community service. In particular Cathy enjoyed working with organizations such as Military Family Resource Centres and spousal groups in CFS Masset BC, CFB Kingston ON, 14 Wing Greenwood NS and Washington DC. As well, she was a fundraiser for Canadian Armed Forces “Soldier On” – a program committed to supporting veterans and serving members to adapt and overcome permanent physical or mental health injuries. Expanding her volunteerism horizon, she gave time and energy to seniors and to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Kingston ON, Greenwood NS and the National Capital Region.
An active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Orleans Branch 632 since 2020, Cathy volunteers for the annual Poppy Campaign, participated as a member of the 2023 website redevelopment team, and was a member of the 2023-24 and 2024-25 Executive Standing Committee leading the Veterans and Aging portfolio. She is looking forward to new challenges as the 1st Vice.

3rd Vice-President
3rd Vice President - Comrade Mark Cimon
I am a proud associate member, and supporter, of RCL 632. Waves of memories came over me when I first walked into the Legion, and it was the main reason for me joining the Legion. Since then, I have gotten more involved, have met a lot of wonderful people, and I just enjoy being around an organization which helps our veterans.
My father spent 35 years in the RCAF, my grandfather was a member of the Northwest Mounted Police/ Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in WWI, and then the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I had uncles, and a cousin, who served in the RCN, and RCAF as well.
My early days were spent as a “Military Brat”, which brought me to a lot of different locations in Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario. I started out in Greenwood, and saw the wondrous sites in L’Acadie Quebec, Toronto Ont, Chambly Que, Moisie Quebec, North Bay Ont, St Jean Que, and finally Kingston Ont where I met my wife.
I am married to a wonderful wife and partner, we have 4 great children, and 7 awesome grand-kids. We have lived in Ottawa since 1983, and Orleans since 1991. Our children, and grandchildren, are all in the Ottawa area, so we feel truly blessed to have everyone close.
I enjoy a variety of activities, including golf, alpine skiing, throwing some horseshoes, playing softball, and spending time with the family.

Secretary
Secretary - Comrade Shelly Yerburgh
Dad believed in giving back to Veterans through the Legion. He was a member for over 50 years, signing the family up as Associates decades ago. He was a life member, having served every executive position at the Branch level and President and Past President at Zone.
In 2019, I married my high School sweetheart, Kevin Piccott, an Air Force Veteran of 28 years. When Dad died in 2021, we decided to continue the family’s support of the Legion. I assisted with Membership, Recycling trailer, Ladies Auxiliary and Branch Executive Secretary. Kevin is one of RCL 632 Service Officers and served as 1st Vice last term.

Entertainment Chair - Comrade Mélanie Roy
The military has always been an important part of my life. Although I didn’t serve myself, I’m a proud military brat—my father devoted over 37 years to the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME). Our family was posted to CFB Borden, CFB Valcartier, and CFB Lahr in Germany before settling in Ottawa in 1987. My grandfather also served with honour in the Second World War as a member of the Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment. With such strong ties to Canada’s military history, the values of service, respect, and remembrance are deeply rooted in who I am.
While I’m still relatively new to the Legion, I’m fully committed to building a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming environment through dynamic and engaging events. As Entertainment Chair, my mission is to ensure that all members, guests, and—most importantly—our veterans feel seen, celebrated, and involved in every gathering. Whether it’s live music, themed dances, or any other events, my goal is to make the Orléans Legion the go-to hub for entertainment and community connection.
I’m happily single, living my best life, and the proud mom of a 23-year-old son. I spent my teenage years in Orléans, and even though I now live in Gatineau, Orléans will always be home.
I look forward to welcoming you at the next event—let’s keep the spirit of the Legion alive, together!
