Remembrance

Commemorating the thousands of Canadians who served their country in the Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

On Remembrance Day each year we commemorate the thousands of Canadians who served their country in the Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and in particular those killed or maimed in the service of Canada. In wars and peacekeeping Canadians gave up their physical and mental health and often their lives to protect the rest of us from harm and defend our freedom.

From Queenston Heights in 1812 to Vimy Ridge, Dieppe, The Battle of the Atlantic, Korea, the Suez Crisis, the Medak Pocket and Afghanistan, Canadians have stood up for their country and protected our democracy from all comers.
